Our founder is an artist, and her recipe development is an extension of her art!

Melody is a full time professional artist and muralist. In 2015, she walked away from a lifetime corporate sales career to pursue her dream of living as an Artist full time. This meant no insurance, no steady income, and learning what the term ‘starving artist’ truly stood for. Through hard work, perseverance and her determination to make it as an artist, along with a never-quit attitude and unmatched work ethic she has become a fairly well-known-in-her-area-of-the-country Artist, Muralist and Jewelry Designer in her own right.
The meal prep business started from a conversation with close friends who don’t cook…she began doing meal prep for them on a trial basis and soon word spread and MEL PREP was born.
Melody’s love for cooking comes from her artist’s heart. She loves to create new, interesting recipes and finding new and delicious flavor profiles. She is a very hands-on business owner, and personally creates every recipe and each menu with her clients in mind each week.
